Dear AMW, Only a few more days until we gather at The Mall! Here is some information that might answer some questions you have about the day of the event: Event Location and Time: The event will take place on the lawn of the Mall in Washington DC near 7th Street between Madison and Jefferson Drive. This one-day gathering will take place from 9am-7pm on October 12th. What to bring: Due to the nature of the event and the amount of people fasting, we will not have any food vendors on site. We will have a limited amount of water bottles on-site in addition to communion materials. We recommend bringing water, drinks, any snacks you may need, and a picnic blanket as we will not be providing chairs. We will be taking communion together so you may prefer to have your own supplies on hand, more on that below. Communion: We partnered with Swanson Christian Products to provide communion cups on the event day. If you prefer to bring your own, they are generously offering cups for our event attendees at 25% OFF on their website: https://swansoninc.com/pray25/ Use promo code pray25 if not already applied. Hotels: We do not have any hotels reserved so we advise you to find accommodations any way you can. There are hotels in the surrounding areas as well as vacation rental options. For those staying in surrounding areas, the train may be an easier option than driving as the metro will be running directly to the Mall in DC and will alleviate the parking situation in the city. Live Stream Details: For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be live streamed on our social media platforms (Facebook, Youtube, and Rumble) on the day of the event. It will be from 9am-7pm EST. Bus parking: Buses can park at the Union Station Parking Garage (USPG) 30 Massachusetts Ave, NE Washington, D.C. 20002 The Union Station Parking Garage is a 24-hour, multi-level parking facility that serves as one of the city’s major bus hubs. The garage services Boltbus, Greyhound, Megabus, Peter Pan, DC2NY, OurBus, and Washington Deluxe. The bus is also the pick-up and drop-off location for charter and tour buses. Access is available from Massachusetts Avenue, NE from a ramp on the East side of Union Station as well as behind the station from a ramp on H Street, NE. https://www.unionstationdc.com/parking/ Parking in General: We highly encourage you to park at the ends of the metro lines instead of driving into the city. The Smithsonian and Federal stops are the main metro stations for the Mall, but any station outside the Mall area that connects to the Blue, Grey, or Orange Lines would also be a good choice for parking.
