Global Esther Fast

A global call to pray and fast the first three days of every month throughout 2026.

What is the Global Esther Fast?

WHY THIS MOMENT MATTERS

In this critical hour, the urgency for unified, faith-filled action is clear amid rising global unrest, antisemitism, and spiritual deception. Yet the Church remains steadfast, called to rise in strength and prayer. This year is a pivotal invitation to join a global movement of women committed to advancing God’s Kingdom through intentional, collective prayer and fasting. Through The Global Esther Fast, believers set aside the first three days of each month to seek revival, contend for truth, and stand in the gap for families and nations—embracing this moment with purpose and unity.

Our Monthly Focus

Monthly Rhythm / Expectation

When do we fast?
We fast and pray together the first three days of every month throughout 2026, uniting globally in a shared rhythm of seeking God.
While A Million Women is a movement of women, we believe every woman is an Esther and every man a Mordecai—so individuals and families alike are invited to participate together.
While we call this the Global Esther Fast, we are not requiring everyone to follow the specific biblical Esther fast. We recognize that different seasons of life call for different approaches, and what matters most is joining together in a consistent rhythm of prayer and fasting. We encourage you to seek the Lord and follow the wisdom and leading of the Holy Spirit in choosing how to fast each month.
You can stay connected by joining our email list and following our official channels, where we share monthly prayer themes, fasting reminders, updates, and encouragement. Once you sign up, you’ll also receive a link to join our Facebook group to pray and stay connected with others around the world.
As you read this, our prayer is that you would feel a holy stirring…

“The Lord gives the word of power; the women who bear and publish the news are a great host. The kings of the enemies’ armies, they flee, they flee! She who tarries at home divides the spoil left behind.” Psalm 68:11
